When Chester Bennington sadly died, he left behind a family. Since then, his then-relatively-young children have developed into young adults. Look at the rock star’s children now.
Chester Bennington, the frontman of Linkin Park, was a legendary figure in the rock music industry. In addition to Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Joe Hahn, Dave Farrell, and eventually Colin Brittain, the band was founded in 1996.
Together, they produced classic hits that still motivate music lovers everywhere. Chester, who was 41 years old, sadly passed away in July 2017. The Los Angeles County Coroner stated that the death was apparently a suicide, and the body was discovered in a nearby private home.
Years after his passing, the rock group recently revealed Emilie Armstrong, the band Dead Sara’s gifted lead vocalist, as their newest member in a live setting.
Following the news, supporters expressed their enthusiasm on social media about Armstrong joining the group. Many expressed their excitement for what she will contribute to the music going forward, praising her as the group’s perfect fit.
“Emily Armstrong is a really fantastic option to join Linkin Park as their new vocalist. Although I wasn’t entirely convinced that Linkin Park needed a female vocalist, she sounds amazing live. Sounds sufficiently similar to Chester, but distinct enough that it’s not an obvious knockoff,” one person remarked.
Another added, “I can only presume you are deaf if you can sit back and watch this and not think Emily Armstrong is the ideal fit for Linkin Park’s new direction. She is amazing!”
The singer-songwriter who co-founded Dead Sara was commended by one, who wrote, “She completely destroyed it here! Her new track sounds amazing, and she fits the bill perfectly.”
Seven years have passed since Chester’s death, and while he was an incredible rock star, he was also deeply devoted to his family. He once gushed about his kids on X, writing, “I have the cutest kids ever.”
The native of Arizona is the mother of four biological children: twin daughters, Lila and Lily Bennington, and sons, Tyler and Draven. The rocker’s oldest child spoke back to pleasant recollections of their time together in an interview from May 2023.
Going rock climbing together was one of our favorite things to do. And that would usually be our thing—myself and my younger brother Tyler,” he disclosed.
The now-22-year-old revealed that going rock climbing at Hangar 18 was one of their favorite things to do together on occasion. Chester’s lone kid from his previous marriage, Samantha Marie Olit, Draven, made light of the fact that he and his five siblings all had “big ears.”
Draven was thankful for the closeness he has always had with his twin sisters, brother Tyler, and older step-brothers Isaiah and Jaime. “We’ve always had a great bond,” he remarked, adding that because of their comparable ages, he is especially close to his younger siblings.
Motivated by his father’s inventiveness, Draven experiments with music and fashion. According to him, he loved how his father tailored his look, adding, “He wanted to wear something that nobody else had and so he would make those customizations himself.”
Draven identifies himself an actor, singer, and artist on his Instagram page. He expressed his intense love for his mother in one of his posts.
In December 2021, he gave her a birthday tribute and referred to her as the world’s best parent. “I love you so much, and thank you for sacrificing your milestone for my career!” Draven said with a photo of the happy couple.
Tyler, the second-oldest child of Chester, turns eighteen in March 2024. His mother Talinda Bennington posted a montage of her son’s early years to Instagram to celebrate his special day.
After his father passed away, she was proud of her son Tyler’s tenacity and the good effects he’s had on his community, particularly in the area of mental health. Talinda also highlighted Tyler’s profound love for his twin siblings while expressing her pride in his role as a brother.
As she congratulated him on being accepted to college and acknowledged his artistic ability, she said, “Wherever you choose to go, they will be a better place for it.”
Talinda declared with pride that Tyler had graduated from high school in June 2024. Since then, the child’s Instagram fans have drawn comparisons between him and his late father. Writer: “His father’s twin.” One more person said, “Just like Chester.”
Talinda has been posting pictures of the couple’s younger kids, Lila and Lily, on social media with pride. She posted a picture of them when they were seven years old and another from when they were babies in May 2019.
In October 2020, Talinda shared a side-by-side picture of the daughters on social media and expressed her happiness and appreciation, calling herself “the luckiest woman” to be their mother.
One fan expressed her admiration for them by remarking, “They are so cute.” One more person said, “OMG!!!” They have greatly expanded. lovely girls. Someone said, “WOW they are so pretty,” mentioning that the twins are a mix of Talinda and Chester. They do resemble a super cute Minnie Chester and a Minnie Talinda. I adore you all and stand by you all.”
It’s Lily and Lila now. twelve years old. Their mother posted a collage of old photos of the two of them in June 2023, commemorating their first and last days of elementary school. Their trip was contemplated by her, and she acknowledged their achievements “from learning to read and write to receiving the Presidential Outstanding Academic Award.”
Talinda, who wed Chester in 2005 and lost him in 2006, talked about how much she loved her girls and looked forward to the next phase of their lives, adding she could not wait to see them “conquer middle school.”
Chester left behind a family he loved dearly and his music, which both carry on his legacy. His children continue his inventiveness, tenacity, and love as they forge their own paths.
